Built during my test-engineering co-op at Teledyne DALSA: an automated routine that detects filter defects, replacing a slow, subjective manual process.

  • Engineered a Python/TestStand framework that replaced manual inspection with an automated hardware-in-the-loop routine.

  • Standardized pass/fail criteria so results are repeatable across operators.

01The problem

Filter inspection was manual, multi-hour, and operator-dependent: different people made different judgement calls, with a long turnaround per unit.

02What I built

A Python/TestStand framework that drives the test hardware in the loop, captures measurements automatically, and applies consistent defect criteria, with no human eyeballing required.

03Result

The same validation now runs as a ~20-minute automated task with repeatable, operator-independent results.
